Testimonials: "You
may be a professional in your field, however when it comes to your career plan you shouldn't think twice about taking
some professional yourself. Louise Millar-Hoffman offered me an extensive and personalised career plan after an
in depth assessment and thoughtful inquiry. The investment can't be under-estimated when you find yourself
three months down the track in a role you hadn't considered before, but one that ticks all the boxes
you couldn't put your finger on when you could only communicate how dissatisfied you were with your last position. I
highly recommend Louise and her approach and will have her to thank for guiding me to the tools required to plan
the next however many phases of my future work/life career." Sylvie - Individual Client
assisted over 3 sessions late 2009 (Testimonial written February 2010). "It was a pleasure to work with Louise Millar-Hoffmann in Melbourne who is a highly professional, passionate
and approachable person. As conference convenor of the 2009 Career Development Association of Australia Annual Conference,
Louise had the vision and organisational skills to manage an innovative conference that pushed the boundaries in many different
ways. She also dealt with a variety of set-backs and alterations to the program with aplomb, indeed when faced with
a significant late withdrawal from the program, she turned adversity into triumph by securing the services of an Australian
icon as a replacement who proved to be one of the biggest hits of the conference. As an experienced Career Development
professional I can recommend Louise as someone who delivers consistently at a high level, and can work exceptionally well
under pressure." Prof Jim Bright - Australian Catholic University/Bright and Associates
(April 2009) "Louise Millar-Hoffmann is a highly skilled and capable professional who makes a wonderful contribution
to Australia’s largest professional association of career practitioners – AACC - as both National Communications
Officer and Secretary of the Victorian Division. Louise is an experienced practitioner who has a very strong understanding
of career development and the positive impact it brings to people’s lives.”Carole Brown,
(the then) National Vice-President, Australian Association of Career Counsellors - June 2007 - now National President, Career
Development Association of Australia
An another from an individual client assisted over 3 sessions in 2007"Hi Louise,Just thought I would
let you know how its all going since the careers counselling some months ago.I have just completed a few months of work experience in an events
company. I was able to express my creativity by organising the merchandise, setting up events, seating and poster displays,
arranging venues and writing responses to tenders and inserts for programs.I am still working full time, but my boss is being flexible with
time off for study and other work which is terrific. I am well into my post graduate studies and get along really well with
the other students and the lecturers. The head of the school has a lot of contacts in the arts industry and has offered her
help to me in finding employment. I have never enjoyed study so much because I am so interested in the course. I’m doing assignments
at the moment, but plan to move onto voluntary work at Heide in October which I have arranged for every second Saturday.
I am also learning the piano, and had a new piano delivered on Saturday. In short everything is going very well and slowly building into
new directions. I have recommended you to a couple of friends, mainly because I think doing what you love brings success,
not all those ridiculous tests that other career advisors suggest.Hope all is well & thanks for helping me in my journey."Leonie W (Eltham) August 2007
